(Palos Heights, Ill.) The Saints made the trip to Trinity Christian College for the quarterfinal round of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) tournament Tuesday night.

Looking for their first win against the Trolls, the Saints trailed by 7 with just over 3 minutes to play in the first half after Trinity's Joel Kemp hit a 3-pointer. It looked as though the Trolls were going to take a commanding lead but the Saints battled back and Nick Gold (San Clemente, Calif.) sent the Saints into halftime down 3 after hitting a late 3-pointer in the half.

After a Taylor Williams (South Bend, Ind.) lay-up pulled the Saints within 1 point early in the second half, the Trolls did not let the Saints get any closer. Trinity slowly built a 14 point lead by the 9:13 mark and finished the game with an 82-63 victory.

Williams finished the night with 25 points and 11 rebounds recording his eighth double-double on the year. Gold added 9 points on 3-of-7 shooting from behind the arc and Zac Cook (South Bend, Ind.) added 9 on 3-of-8 shooting from 3-point range. Trinity's Brendon Vize led all scorers with 33 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field.

The Saints were outrebounded 51-35 and shot just under 38% from the field. The Trolls went 40% from the field and managed 11 second chance points to the Saints 2.

The loss concludes the season for the Saints with a 4-27 mark. Despite missing much of the second half of the season, Justin Breveard (South Bend, Ind.) led the Saints with 15.3 points per game. Williams finished the season averaging 14 points and 7.7 rebounds a game.
