Brandon Baldwin and the Moody Bible Institute Archers shot 44% from behind the line during the first half of Tuesday night's game. The Saints fell down early, but a late first half resurgence kept the score manageable. Despite shooting 28% from the field the Saints trailed by 8 at half.
The second half opened much like the first as the Archers took a 14 point advantage with 14 minutes to play. The Saints battled back and trailed by 2 with 4:50 remaining in the game. However, the Saints wouldn't get any closer as Jeff Appleman went down after getting hit in the eye, and Andrew Tullis fouled out. Elliott Jones Jr. led all scorers with 25. Tullis added 13, and Mark Wilkins had 11 points and 9 rebounds in 36 minutes of play.
The Saints travel to Iowa to take on the University of Dubuque and Waldorf College this weekend. The Saints dropped their home opener this year to Waldorf 88-59.
