(Niles, Mich.) The Holy Cross baseball team was in action this weekend taking on Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) opponent St. Xavier University.
In the three game series between the two sides Holy Cross was outscored 51-6. After a 7-1 loss to the Cougars on Saturday the Saints dropped two games on Sunday at Thomas Memorial Stadium.
Ryan Trosko recorded three hits over the weekend and drove in 2 runs. Jackson Hallahan also recorded three hits on the weekend for the Saints. As a team the Saints are currently batting .213 and have a team ERA of 12.36.
St. Xavier exploded with 30 runs in the final game of the weekend on 18 hits. The Cougars finished with 45 hits in three games and move to 19-17-1 overall and 11-3 in the CCAC.
Holy Cross falls to 1-24 on the season and 0-18 in the CCAC. They return to action this Tuesday, April 12th, at Judson University as part of a double header. First pitch is scheduled for 5pm.
