(Holland, Mich.) Leah Trattles of Holland Black River High School (MI) will join the Holy Cross College (IN) women's soccer program in the fall of 2011.
A four year varsity soccer player with the Holland Black River girl's soccer program, Trattles was named All-Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore (2009).
"When I first saw Leah playing with her Black River High School team in Michigan I was dazzled by her speed, concentration and passion for the game," said Head Coach Carlos Reynolds.
During her junior year, Leah netted 14 goals and recorded 11 assists for a team leading 39 points during the 2010 season. That same year she was named All-Conference 1st Team and All-District 1st Team.
As a senior, Trattles has been named a captain for Black River which is currently playing their season. Black River will look for their fourth straight conference championship this spring.
"I am confident that Leah will succeed at Holy Cross College," Coach Reynolds said. "She brings a lot to use and I can't wait to have her as a member of the team and start working for the incoming season."
As a forward Leah will have an immediate impact on the women's soccer program at Holy Cross which enters its third year in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). "We are very eager that Leah has decided to come to Holy Cross College she will make an impact right away in our young soccer program," said Reynolds.
Along with her success on the field, Trattles is also a member of the National Honor Society. While attending Holy Cross, Trattles will work towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
