Allgeier Joins HCC Women's Soccer Program

(Ft. Wayne, Ind.) Midfielder Sally Allgeier of Bishop Dwenger High School has signed with the Holy Cross College women's soccer program.
The Ft. Wayne native was named to the 2010 Diocese team and was a member of the Spirit Club at Bishop Dwenger.
"Sally is going to impact our soccer program immediately," said Head Coach Carlos Reynolds. "She is a smart player and knows the game well. Sally comes from a strong soccer program that will help us tremendously."
Allgeier comes from a family that is used to collegiate soccer including her father Jim who played soccer at the University of Dayton and her sister Margaret who is currently a member of the IUPUI women's soccer program.
"When Sally came to our recruiting weekend she stood out right away," Coach Reynolds said. "She has good skills to control the ball and the rhythm of the game. I am looking forward to start working with her. Sally is definitively a good fit for our program and I am sure she will be very successful here at Holy Cross College."
The daughter of Jim and Terri Allgeier, Sally plans on earning her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Allgeier is the second player to join the women's soccer program this offseason.
