(Notre Dame, IN) Two days after her impressive debut performance, sophomore Haley Craig (Granger, IN) is still receiving praise.

After her three goal outburst Sunday against the Andrews University Cardinals, the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) awarded Craig the Offensive Player of the Week award.

With goals in the 4th, 28th, and 34th minutes, Haley Craig netted the first hat trick in a Saints soccer uniform during the 5-0 win against Andrews University this past Sunday.

The record-breaking week got better, as the Saints team scored the most goals in a game in the history of the program, which allowed them to notch their first win of the season in shut out fashion.

Coach Reynolds had this to say about his forward, "Haley Craig was able to do that [playing her opening game] in a very focused and determined way. She did a terrific offensive job scoring three goals in her first game...that was fantastic. She complemented well with Karen Liddell and Cassie Juarez on the attack."

Craig is the first women's soccer player to be honored by the CCAC.
