(NOTRE DAME, IN) Holy Cross College announces the signing of two Northridge High School teammates for the 2009-2010 women's basketball season. Lauren Adams, a 5' 10'' forward, and Tyann Schlabach a 5'10'' guard will be signing with Holy Cross College's  Saints basketball team for their 2009 inaugural season.
Adams is averaging 10 points a game and just under 8 rebounds per game. In her senior year Lauren has recorded a season high 17 points twice, and 16 rebounds against Concord on December 13th

"Lauren plays the game with a very high level of intensity, and will be a strong physical presence," said Head Coach Matt Hunsberger. "Her ability to defend and shoot from anywhere will allow us to play her at any position.

Through 12 games Schlabach is averaging 7 points per game including a 14 point effort against Goshen.

"Tyann is a pure shooter and has the range that will allow us to spread the defense," Said Coach Hunsberger. "She also adds the versatility to our team that I've been looking for. Her ability to handle the ball and play defense will help our team immediately" said Hunsberger.
The new Holy Cross College women's basketball team will play their home games in the Pfeil Center, the college's new state-of-art athletics facility. The team will compete in the NAIA as a division II independent next season.
