(Notre Dame, IN)In his only game of the week, Holy Cross Men's Basketball Player Taylor Williams (South Bend, Ind.) made the most of it as he is the CCAC Men's Basketball (DII) Player of the Week. The Saints took a 12-point win over Brescia, 77-65, for their fifth (A record number of wins in a season in the history of the program.) win of the year.
Recording a double-double for the Saints 77-65 win over Brescia, Williams was the key player in the team's fifth win of the year. He posted 17 points and 13 rebounds in 33 minutes of play. He also recorded two blocks and one steal and one assist. He finished shooting .417 from the floor and .583 from the stripe.
Williams is currently 2nd in the nation in NAIA Division II for total rebounds with 156, and is 4th in the nation in rebounds per game at 11.1.  Williams is the second Holy Cross Saint to receive Player of the Week honors as Junior Yama Kader earned the award a week ago.
The Saints go on the road tomorrow and play fellow conference for Purdue University North Central.  The return home on January 7th playing the second game of a header with the women at 5:00 p.m. against Cardinal Stritch who are sitting atop the CCAC with a 3-0 record at McKenna Arena in the Pfeil Center.  The women play Cardinal Stritch in the first game at 3:00 p.m.
