Women's Soccer - Mon, Sep. 3, 2012

(Grand Rapids, Mich.) The Holy Cross Saints women's soccer team lost their first road contest of the season where they traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan on Friday to take on the Aquinas College Saints. The loss drops the Saints to 0-2 (0-0) on the season.

Aquinas took control early in the first half off of the leg of Kelli Sprenger who notched a first half hat-trick. The Saints were unable to manage much offense as they only tallied 1 shot throughout the course of the game.

Junior goalkeeper Aileen Clouse (Beavercreek, Ohio) saw a lot of action facing 37 shots and recording 12 saves for the Saints.

The Saints will return home on Tuesday, September 4th at 5:00pm EST to face the Belles of neighbor college Saint Mary's.
