CHICAGO --- Holy Cross College's Yama Kader (Mission Viejo, Calif.) set two school records and guided his team to a pair of victories en route to earning Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors for the week ending Nov. 18.
Kader lit up the nets on Wednesday nailing nine three-pointers and 15 field goals total (in 24 attempts), while also going 5-for-5 from the free throw line in a 44-point outburst against Olivet Nazarene. Kader's nine treys (in 13 attempts) and 44 points were the most for a single game in school history and guided the Saints to a shocking 80-59 win over ONU.
Kader also totaled 15 points in a 90-60 win over Great Lakes Christian College earlier in the week and 21 points in a 101-82 setback versus Roosevelt University to close out the week on Saturday.
For the three games, he averaged 26.7 points per game, while shooting .519 from the three-point arc.
The 2-1 record for the week evened Holy Cross' overall mark at 3-3 on the season.
