According to laxpower.com the Holy Cross men's lacrosse team (4-1) ranks 2nd overall in the Great Lakes Lacrosse League (GLLL). Taking the number one spot is perennial power house University of Wisconsin (4-0). Over a six year span the Badgers have lost only once during league play.
Handing the Saints their only loss on the year and ranked 3rd overall is Loyola University (IL). Loyola defeated the Saints in overtime earlier this season 7 - 6 at Lake Forest College. The Saints took an early 4 - 1 advantage, but were unable to contain the Loyola attack during the second half. Since the loss the Saints are on a 3 game winning streak outscoring their opponents 34 - 6. The defense has only allowed 13 total goals, and shut out Benedictine University and Lake Forest College.

"Our guys are putting in a tremendous effort at practice, and it is showing up in the scores," said first year Head Coach Mike Hodge. "Both our offence and defense has been playing extremely well in all of our games."

The Saints have two games left on April 19th, against Northwestern University and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. The league is still working out a time to reschedule the Eastern Illinois game. The top two teams of each conference will play in the league championship to be held at the University of Stout - Wisconsin, April 25th - April 26th.
