This week in Holy Cross baseball: The Saints will resume action this week with six games in four days beginning in Chicago, Ill. against fellow Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) member Illinois Tech on Wednesday. Following Wednesday's doubleheader, they will stay in Chicago to take on NCAA Div. I opponent Chicago State University at Les Miller Field for one game before returning home for one game with Calumet College of St. Josephs. Finally, the Saints will close out the week with a doubleheader in Whiting, Ind. against Cal. St. Joe.

Recapping last week: The Saints went 0-3 this past week with all three losses coming to No. 19 St. Francis. Friday's single game was the first time the Saints were involved in extra innings this season. After ending the ninth inning with a 1-1 tie, the Saints gave up four runs in the top of the tenth, including a two-run homerun to help St. Francis achieve a 5-1 victory. The Saints were shutout 3-0 in game one on Saturday, and had eight errors in game two which helped erase their 3-1 fifth inning lead. The Saints have currently dropped four consecutive games.
