(South Bend, Ind.) The Holy Cross women's golf team hosted 2013 Unaffiliated Conference Qualifier over the weekend at Elbel Park Golf Club with the winner punching their ticket to the 2013 National Tournament in Lincoln, Nebraska. After day one was rained out, the six teams played one round of golf on Saturday to decide the tournament champion. The Saints finished the tournament in sixth place, while Olivet Nazarene took home the crown and the automatic bid to nationals.

"It was unfortunate that we were only able to get one round in," coach Holt said. "There were a lot of good teams in the tournament and we unfortunately didn't play our best."

The Saints finished with a team score of 388 and were led by Sarah Hartle (Warsaw, Ind.) who finished with a team-low round of 90. Hartle's score gave her a tie for 14th individually.

Kendra Luckey (Danville, Ind.) and Victoria Anania (Charleston, SC) each scored a 98 on the round which placed them in a tie for 24th individually.

Kelly Murphy (Youngstown, Ohio) rounded out the Saints score with a round 102. Murphy's score placed her in 26th individually.

Ashley Miller from Olivet Nazarene finished the tournament with a low round of 80.

The Saints will head to Waukegan, Ill. on April 26th for the Robert Morris University Invitational at Bonnie Brook Golf Club to close out their 2013 season.
