Drew Moore (12) becomes the first recruit to sign with the Saints in the Mike McBride era

(Notre Dame, Ind.) The Holy Cross Saints men's basketball program under the direction of first year head coach Mike McBride have received their first signing for the 2013-2014 season. Drew Moore (Dayton, Ohio) has decided to join the Saints after completing his sophomore season at Sinclair Community College.

"I'm excited that Drew has decided to join our program for the upcoming season," coach McBride stated. "Drew brings a tremendous level of skill and basketball understanding to our team. His determination to succeed is evident. More importantly, his character and commitment to earning his degree makes him a great addition to the Holy Cross College community."

Appearing in all 30 games for the Tartan's, Moore made 15 starts on his way to helping the team record a 16-14 overall record while averaging 12.0 points-per-game, 2.0 assists-per-game and shooting 38.4% from beyond the arc. In 9 conference games, Moore upped his scoring average to 17.6 points-per-game along with his field goal percentage from long distance at 47.0%. At the conclusion of the season, Moore led the conference in 3-point field goals made (47) and 3-point field goal percentage (47.0%).

A 2011 graduate of Tri-Village High School in Dayton, Ohio, Moore capped off his senior season while averaging 22.0 points-per-game and 3.0 assists-per-game en route to scoring 1,454 career points. While at Tri-Village, Moore had high scoring games of 46 and 36 points.

The son of Ron and Tina Moore, Drew plans on studying Business while at Holy Cross.
