Coach Mannen wrapped up his first season as head coach of the Saints men's golf team after spending the past three and a half years as an assistant coach.
Mannen won his first event as head coach at the Taylor Fall Invitational and helped guide the Saints to a third place finish in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Championship. His senior captain, Matthew Code, won the individual medalist honors at the CCAC Championship and was awarded a trip to Nationals as an individual.
In his brief stint as head coach, Mannen coached two players to First Team All-CCAC recognition and had one player receieve the CCAC All-Academic team accolade.
Coach T.J. Mannen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. Soon after, he earned his PGA certification from the Professional Golfers Association of America in 2005. He has helped many students as well as coaches with golf instruction along his career as Head Golf Professional at Elbel Park Golf Club in South Bend, IN.
During his time as an assistant to both programs, Coach Mannen has helped the men's team achieve a national ranking in the top-25 as well as a trip to the National Tournament in Salem, Oregon while also helping to create a women's program that is developing into a conference contender.
In addition to the team achieving a national ranking, Mannen has helepd develop the Saints into one of the top programs in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC). During his time with the Saints, two players have been named CCAC Player of the Year, six making First Team All-CCAC and three making Second Team All-CCAC.
