Dave Barstis - Head Coach
           Dave Barstis leads the men's Cross Country team in his second year as head coach. Coach Barstis was signed on to manage both the men and women in the winter of 2007. "Coach Barstis was hired because of his exceptional reputation, drive, and especially his approach to student athletes" says Saints Athletic Director Nathan Walker.    
          Barstis is not a stranger to the sport, before joining Holy Cross he was the head cross country coach at Saint Mary's College from 1997- 2004. He was also an assistant at Saint Mary's from 2005-2006. While a student at Aquinas College, Barstis was a 4 year varsity letter winner in cross country and indoor/outdoor track . While at Aquinas, he was an NAIA national qualifier in track for race walking during the 1986 season. That same year he was the captain of the cross country and track team.  
           Coach Barstis received a B.S. in computer information systems and business administration from Aquinas College in 1986.
