After suffering back-to-back losses, the Holy Cross men's soccer team picked up a much needed home victory on Saturday over Illinois Tech to close out their non-conference schedule. Senior captain Garbhan Grant was a big reason for the Saints double overtime thriller.
Grant netted all three goals in the 3-2 double overtime win, giving the Saints their first ever victory over the Scarlet Hawks.
In addition to netting all three goals, Grant became the all-time leader in career points with 42.
11 games into his senior season, Grant has already set a new career-high with seven goals and 17 points.
The Saints are currently 7-4 on the season.
