Alongside Head Coach Steve Baumgartner is Assistant Coach Ed Baumgartner. Ed, Steve's older brother, is entering his second year as an assistant coach at Holy Cross College. "Having the opportunity to have my older brother Ed as an assistant coach has been incredible.  We complement each other very well with our personalities and the fact that neither one of us is afraid to tell the other exactly what we're thinking.  Also, it's great to finally get the upper hand on something after twenty plus years," says Head Coach Steve Baumgartner.  

Coach Ed, as the players call him, has worked with numerous grade schools throughout his career. Most recently he has coached the 7^th grade team at St. Joseph's grade school in South Bend. Baumgartner has also coached numerous other sports including soccer and baseball at both the junior and high school levels. "It is his dedication to sport and fitness that makes Ed a good fit in the Holy Cross Community," says Athletic Director Nathan Walker. Baumgartner graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2004, with a Bachelor's degree in business administration and finance.
