Travon Brackett is the Saints Spotlight Athlete for March. Brackett stepped up his game when the Saints needed it most this past season, averaging 11.3 point per game in conference play. The junior shot a blistering 52.8% from the field, including 45.8% from behind the arc. The Anchorage, Alaska native tallied double digit scoring efforts 14 times throughout the season, including three games of 20 or more points.
Brackett's breakout performance came against rival IUSB on January 25th, when he took over in the second half of the game. Brackett scored a career-high 30 points on 12 of 15 shooting from the field, hitting all 12 shots in the second half without a miss to will the Saints to a win. For his efforts in that game, he was named Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference player of the week.
Brackett will look to continue improving his game throughout the spring and summer in hopes of a big senior year for the Holy Cross men's basketball team.
