Saints Fall at Home to IUNW

Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College men's basketball team hosted IU Northwest in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup this afternoon. IUNW was able to jump out to a 7-0 lead to start the game, but Holy Cross would tie it up 32-32 with just over five minutes remaining in the half. The Red Hawks hit a jumper at the buzzer to take the 44-38 lead at half. The Saints trailed most of the second half, cut the deficit to 73-72 with just over a minute left to play. IUNW would convert their free throws late to hand Holy Cross the 77-72 defeat. With the loss, men's basketball stands at 10-14 overall and 5-11 in conference play, while IUNW improves to 17-6 and 11-5.
