Holy Cross Falls at SAU
Davenport, Iowa. The Holy Cross College men's basketball team began Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this afternoon when they traveled to St. Ambrose University. The Fighting Bees jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, but Holy Cross would even the game 10-10 with just under 14 minutes to go in the first. Ambrose would build another lead, but again the Saints would battle back with the game knotted 27-27 at halftime. St. Ambrose would shoot 64% from the field in the second half, as the would defeat the Saints 76-63. With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 3-2 and 0-1, while St. Ambrose moves to 4-2 and 1-0.
