Saints Win on Road at UM Dearborn
Dearborn, Mich. The Holy Cross College men's basketball returned to action this afternoon when they took on the University of Michigan – Dearborn on the road. The Wolverines took a quick 7-0 lead to start the game, but Holy Cross would battle back and tie the game at 20-20 with just over eight minutes remaining in the first. The Saints would outscore UMD by six to take a 45-39 lead entering halftime. Holy Cross would extend their lead in the second half and controlled a 68-50 with just under 10 minutes to play. With four minutes remaining, the Wolverines were able to claw back to trail 73-62, but Holy Cross would convert their free throws late to come away with the 89-79 victory. With the win, Holy Cross moves to 4-8, while UMD stands at 2-10
