Men's Basketball Team and 8 Men's Basketball Players Named in the NABC Honors List and Gain the Team Academic Excellence Award
Notre Dame, Ind. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) recently announced the 2025-26 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and the NABC Honors Court. The Holy Cross men's basketball team received the Team Academic Excellence award, one of only three men's basketball programs in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) to earn this award. Aris Duni, Asher Puhalski, Beau Barhams, Drew Adzia, Joe Kelly, Donovan Mukes, Jayden Sanders, and Joey Garwood were named to the NABC Honors Court, which recognizes collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics throughout the 2025-2026 season. This distinction is a prestigious honor because it is the only academic award that encompasses every level of college basketball.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes programs from across the nation with a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:
1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic year.
