Oscar Wai Earns ITA All-American Honors Following Historic Junior Season
Holy Cross College junior Oscar Wai has added another major accomplishment to his standout 2025 campaign, earning Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American honors following an exceptional season on the national stage.
The Hong Kong native put together an incredible individual season, climbing as high as No. 5 in the NAIA national rankings while holding the No. 7 spot entering the NAIA National Championships. Competing primarily from the No. 1 singles position, Wai compiled an impressive 19-5 overall singles record against top competition throughout the year.
Wai also made a significant impact in doubles play, posting an 8-1 overall record while primarily competing in the No. 3 doubles position for the Saints.
His fall season was highlighted by capturing the ITA Regional Championship, earning him a berth into the ITA National Championships where he finished 5th overall against many of the nation's top players.
In addition to his national success, Wai was recently recognized as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year, becoming one of the premier players in both the conference and the NAIA ranks this season.
The ITA All-American recognition further cements Wai's place among the top collegiate tennis players in the country and adds another milestone to an already historic year for Holy Cross men's tennis.
