Saints Rally Late to Secure Road Win at Indiana Northwest
The Holy Cross College women's basketball team closed strong in the fourth quarter to earn a 70–65 road victory over Indiana Northwest on Wednesday night at the Savannah Center.
After trailing 34–27 at halftime, the Saints steadily chipped away in the second half before erupting for 25 points in the final quarter to seal the win. Holy Cross outscored the RedHawks 25–16 in the fourth, capitalizing at the free-throw line and forcing key stops down the stretch.
Allie Caldwell led the Saints with a game-high 27 points, shooting 9-of-20 from the field while adding 8 rebounds. Kaiden Hanley delivered a dominant all-around performance, finishing with 21 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks to anchor the Saints on both ends of the floor.
Sincere Coleman-Francis chipped in 7 points and 5 rebounds, while the Saints' bench contributed timely minutes and 12 total points. Holy Cross held the advantage on the glass, outrebounding Indiana Northwest 41–29, and turned defensive pressure into 17 points off turnovers.
With the win, Holy Cross improves to 9–7 overall and 5–3 in conference play, continuing to build momentum as the season continues on Saturday January 10th at St. Ambrose. Tipoff is set for 2PM.
