Harbor Shores Invitational: Women's Golf Results
Benton Harbor, MI
October 6-7, 2025
The Holy Cross women's golf team traveled to Benton Harbor, Michigan, on October 6–7 to compete in the Harbor Shores Invitational, hosted by Bethel University. The event was held at the prestigious Harbor Shores Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course known for its breathtaking views and difficult layout.
Nestled alongside a nature reserve and the shores of Lake Michigan, Harbor Shores presents a true test of skill and strategy. With sand bunkers and heather grass lining nearly every fairway, multi-tiered greens that challenge even the most seasoned putters, and unpredictable lakefront winds, the course demands precision and resilience from its competitors.
Day 1 brought sunny conditions, and sophomores Bianca Huizar and Jill Daniels led the Saints with scores of 87 and 89, respectively. Their steady play helped keep Holy Cross in contention early on.
However, Day 2 proved more difficult as high winds and light rain rolled in, making club selection and shot accuracy critical. Despite their best efforts, the Saints couldn't string together enough strong holes to match the depth of talent in the field.
Holy Cross women finished 5th out of 5 teams, with Lawrence Tech claiming the team title. While the results weren't what the Saints hoped for, the experience of competing on such a challenging course will serve them well as they continue to grow and develop this season.
Results:
Bianca Huizar: 87, 87
Jill Daniels: 89, 96
Hannah Herschbach: 95, 90
Natalia Najera: 104, 106
Eva De La Rosa: 116, 114
The Saints return to action October 20-21 at Warren Golf Course!
