Saints Take Down Titans 3-1
Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College women's soccer team hosted Indiana University South Bend this afternoon in their final Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup. Just over one minute into the contest, Jennifer Requeno found the back of the net to give the Saints a 1-0 lead early. Less than 10 minutes later, Kassidi Puthoff added to the Saints lead with a goal in the 11th minute. Holy Cross would enter halftime with a 2-0 lead. During halftime, Olivia Shaw was honored for becoming the Holy Cross College women's soccer All-Time Points Leader. For her career, she had notched 29 goals and 46 assists for 104 total points.
Abigail Fouts added another goal for the Saints in the 48th minute. Later in the match, IUSB was able to get on the board with a goal coming in the 82nd minute, but that were unable to overcome the deficit. The Saints would take down the Titans 3-1. With the win, Holy Cross finishes their season with a 5-11-1 mark and a 3-7-1 record in league play, while IUSB moves to 3-12-1 and 0-10.
