CCAC Releases Postseason Awards
Chicago, Ill. The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced their women's tennis All-Conference Awards. Holy Cross College has six members of the women's tennis program who earn this distinction.
Victoria Savvidou claimed the CCAC Player of the Year award. The sophomore was also awarded All-Conference in singles and doubles play. Savvidou and Anna Beer were tabbed All-Conference in doubles play.
Maria Sanchez was named CCAC Freshman of the Year, as well as being awarded All-Conference in singles play.
Seniors Kia Carvalho-Landell and Helga Lopez both earned All-Conference in singles play. Carvalho-Landell teamed up with Nicole Martinez for doubles play and the duo was awarded All-Conference.
Eric Mahone was named CCAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year, after guiding the Saints to a 10-2 overall record and their second-consecutive CCAC Title.
The Saints secured a bid to the 2024 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship. The 5-day tournament was held in Mobile, Alabama on May 14-18. The 19th seeded Saints fell to 14th seeded Dillard University in the first round.

The Holy Cross College Saints compete in eight intercollegiate sports for men and women. Holy Cross has produced 205 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honors and 108 All-Conference members, and seven NAIA All-Americans.
