The Holy Cross women's tennis team battled hard on Thursday but came up just short in a 4-3 loss to Grace (IN). The Saints showed strong play throughout the singles lineup, picking up three victories, but Grace's doubles success ultimately made the difference.

In singles action, Leah Gonzales- Edwards dominated 6-1, 6-2, while Sofia Rocha cruised past with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Anna Vanderhyde also secured a straight-set win over Grace, 6-3, 6-0.

In doubles, Holy Cross earned one point from the duo of Anna Vanderhyde and Sofia Rocha, but Grace captured the other two doubles matches to secure the crucial doubles point and the team victory.

The Saints showed resilience and competitive fire throughout the afternoon and will look to build on the strong performances in both singles and doubles in upcoming matches.
