Four Saints Earn CCAC All-Conference Honors

Notre Dame, Ind. — Four members of the Holy Cross College men's soccer team have been recognized by the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) for their outstanding performances during the 2024-25 season. The Saints' success was highlighted by a strong conference campaign and another postseason appearance under Head Coach Omar Gallo.

First Team All-Conference
Tristan Alfaro, a senior defender from Michoacán, Mexico, earned CCAC First Team honors after anchoring the Saints' back line throughout the 2024 season. This year marked an inspiring return for Alfaro, who made his comeback after a 400 plus day recovery from an ACL tear. Appearing in 14 games with 13 starts, he brought leadership, composure, and experience to the defensive unit, playing a key role in stabilizing the Saints' back line and setting the tone for the team's success.

Second Team All-Conference
Isaias Rubio, a senior goalkeeper from Hillsdale, Illinois, was selected to the CCAC Second Team after an outstanding season in goal. Rubio started 12 of 14 games, posting a 1.29 goals-against average and an impressive .807 save percentage. He recorded several crucial performances, including multiple games with five or more saves, and played a vital role in securing the Saints' nine wins this season.

Nathan Sanchez, a sophomore midfielder from Guanajuato, Mexico, earned a Second Team selection after orchestrating the Saints' attack from the middle of the pitch. Sanchez appeared in 17 games, starting 16, and recorded 1 goal and 7 assists for 9 total points. His creativity and playmaking ability made him a consistent offensive contributor and one of the top assist leaders on the team.

Daniel Alfaro, a freshman forward from Arlington Heights, Illinois, rounded out the Saints' honorees with a Second Team selection. Alfaro made an immediate impact in his debut season, scoring 10 goals and adding 3 assists for 23 total points. He posted a .256 shot percentage, converted 3-of-4 penalty kicks, and delivered four game-winning goals, establishing himself as one of the top young attacking talents in the CCAC.

The Saints' four All-Conference selections highlight the depth, balance, and competitiveness of this year's squad, as Holy Cross continued to build on its tradition of excellence under Coach Gallo's leadership.
