Adams' Double-Double Propels Saints Past IUNW

Notre Dame, Ind.  The Holy Cross women's basketball hosted Indiana University Northwest this evening in McKenna Arena in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup. Holy Cross would jump out to a 10-6 lead with a made layup by Grace Adams early in the match. A late field goal in the first by IUN cut in to the lead as Holy Cross would lead 16-12 after the ten minutes. Holy Cross would extend their lead in the second quarter and outscore the Red Hawsk 24-18 to lead 40-30 entering halftime. The Saints' stifling defense would limit IUN to just 14 points in the third as they would enter the final quarter up 69-44. Holy Cross would continue their dominance on both sides of the ball in the final quarter, as they would cruise to the 84-60 victory. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 10-11 and 7-6 in conference play while IU Northwest stands at 11-9 and 8-5.
