Saints Top Trolls 80-54

Palos Heights, Ill.  The Holy Cross women's basketball team returned to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this evening when they traveled to Trinity Christian College. A back-and-forth battle to begin found the game knotted 10-10 halfway through the first. After one quarter, Holy Cross controlled a slight 19-17 lead. The Saints would outscore the Trolls 23-10 in the second quarter to take a 42-27 lead heading into halftime. Holy Cross would continue their strong offense output in the third quarter to lead 63-41 heading into the final ten minutes of action. The Trolls would battle back in the fourth, but were unable to overcome the Saints as Holy Cross would go to a 80-54 win. With the victory, Holy Cross improves to 15-12 and 12-7 in conference play while TCC stands at 4-21 and 4-15.
