2025–26 Holy Cross College Women’s Basketball Preseason Preview
As the calendar turns to another season of Saints basketball, Holy Cross College enters the 2025–26 campaign with renewed energy and focus under the leadership of Head Coach Tom Robbins, now in his seventh season leading the Saints. With a mix of seasoned upperclassmen and a talented group of newcomers, the Saints are ready to take another step forward in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Building on Experience
Holy Cross College returns a solid group of contributors who understand the expectations and competitive demands of the CCAC. Senior guard Audrey Tallent (Plainfield, Ind.) returns as a key veteran presence, bringing leadership and consistency to both ends of the floor. Juniors Brooke Lindesmith (Crown Point, IN), and Lilly Toppen (DeMotte, IN) add experience and balance across all positions.
Coach Robbins praised his returners for setting the tone early in preseason workouts, noting their commitment to elevating the team's tempo and intensity. "This group knows what it takes to compete in our league," Robbins said. "We've got strong leadership, and they've set a great example for our younger players."
New Faces, Fresh Energy
The Saints welcome several new additions who bring size, athleticism, and depth to the rotation. Transfer Juniors Brock Bittermann (Cleves, OH) and Laney Hawkins (Charlestown, IN). Freshman Sincere Coleman-Francis (Indianapolis, IN) and Malea Steele (Fort Wayne, IN) improve the frontcourt with their physical presence, while Mackenzie Hackleman (Syracuse, IN) adds quickness and versatility at the guard position.
Team Identity and Focus
With a well-rounded roster, Holy Cross aims to emphasize defensive discipline, rebounding, and a balanced offensive attack. The Saints will look to push the pace in transition and use their depth to maintain energy throughout the season.
Equally important, the program continues to prioritize excellence in the classroom and leadership off the court, reflecting the mission and values of Holy Cross College.
Looking Ahead
The Saints' early non-conference schedule will provide valuable opportunities to test new lineups and build chemistry before CCAC play begins. With veteran leadership guiding a promising young core, the 2025–26 season holds plenty of optimism for a team ready to compete.
If the Saints can leverage their leadership, blend in the freshman class effectively, and sustain consistent performances, they are positioned to make a meaningful run this year. The platform is set for Coach Robbins; his 7th year marks a season where expectations bump up. Now it's about execution. Fans should keep an eye on the early non-conference schedule — strong performances there could set the tone for conference play.
The Saints start their regular season matchups tomorrow Saturday October 25th at home! Tip off is set for 1PM!
