The Holy Cross College women's basketball team dropped a road contest at Governors State on Wednesday night, falling 76–62 at the GSU ARC in University Park, Illinois.

Governors State came out strong early, building a 40–27 lead at the half behind efficient shooting in the first two quarters. The Saints responded with their best stretch of the night in the third quarter, outscoring the Jaguars 21–13 to cut into the deficit and bring renewed energy on both ends of the floor.

Holy Cross controlled the paint throughout the game, outscoring Governors State 32–20 inside and holding a strong advantage in second-chance points, 21–5. The Saints also won the rebounding battle, 51–29, creating multiple extra possessions and opportunities to climb back into the contest.

Allie Caldwell led Holy Cross with a game-high 22 points, shooting 8-for-16 from the field and adding 4 rebounds. Sincere Coleman Francis recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Kaiden Hanley also finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds.
