Holy Cross Cruises to 79-52 Win Over Calumet
The Holy Cross women's basketball team delivered a dominant performance Thursday night, earning a 79-52 victory over Calumet at home.
The Saints set the tone early, taking a 22-17 lead after the first quarter before widening the gap with an 18-8 second quarter. Holy Cross continued to build momentum in the third, scoring 23 points.
Allie Caldwell led the Saints with 18 points while adding 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Kaiden Hanley recorded a strong all-around performance with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Sincere Coleman-Francis contributed 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals, and Audrey Tallent finished with 6 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Brock Bittermann provided a spark off the bench with 11 points and 8 rebounds and a steal to help push the Saints to a win.
Holy Cross controlled the glass with 46 rebounds and turned defense into offense, totaling 25 points off turnovers and 22 second-chance points.
With the win, the Saints improve to 14-10 overall and 10-6 in conference play. Holy Cross will look to keep the momentum rolling when they travel to Mount Mary on February 7, with tipoff scheduled for 2PM.
