Saints Dominates Mount Mary in 103-45 Road Victory
The Holy Cross women's basketball team delivered a dominant performance on Saturday afternoon, cruising past Mount Mary 103-45 on the road. The Saints controlled the game from the opening tip and never looked back, outscoring the Blue Angels in every quarter while forcing 35 turnovers that led to 43 points.
Allie Caldwell led the offensive charge with a game-high 29 points, shooting 11-of-24 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Caldwell also filled the stat sheet with 13 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 assists in a strong all-around effort. Kaiden Hanley followed with 23 points, knocking down 4 three-pointers while adding 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
The Saints showcased their depth throughout the contest. Brock Bittermann and Malea Steele each contributed 12 points off the bench, helping Holy Cross tally 28 bench points. Audrey Tallent added 10 points and 5 assists, while Lilly Toppen chipped in 7 points. Sincere Coleman-Francis made her presence felt defensively with 7 rebounds and 2 steals.
On the glass, Holy Cross dominated with a 55-37 rebounding advantage and collected 27 steals as a team, highlighting their defensive intensity. The Saints shot nearly 40 percent from the field and an impressive 90.9 percent from the free throw line.
With the win, Holy Cross improves to 15-10 overall and 11-6 in conference play.
The Saints will return home on February 14 for their Senior Day matchup against Indiana University Northwest. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m.
